u/Puzzled-Science-1870It's possible but rare. Sometimes people rarely form gallstones in their bile ducts even after cholecystectomy. I'd get an MRCP to prove no bile duct stones, and if not, then it's most likely your alcohol use. Your alcohol use is more likely to be the cause of the pancreatitis, but not a bad idea to rule out residual stones. All the best.neutral1

u/DerVogelMannShould I be concerned and go to a hospital for further testing or continue following my Doctors original treatment plan? Neither, this is not an emergency and does not belong in the emergency department. You should follow up with your doctor. Medicine is often iterative, we have multiple lines of therapy/investigations. It would be inappropriate to order things like order a knee MRI every time someone bungs up their knee as 98% of the time most MSK injuries like you had will resolve with time. It's not "well, X doctor said do this and it didn't work so they're useless". Follow up, as the current situation is different than it was 3 weeks ago as it didn't get better.2
