u/Party_Goose1239Hi! I’ve got a similar tear although my patellar tracks inward. I’ve been a lot of progress with PT but still think I might need surgery, meeting with the 2nd surgeon, a sports specific guy, this week. I think a big factor is what type of activity are you trying to return to? I’m a long distance runner who l loves trails, so I need a lot of trust in my meniscus.2

u/Bulky-Battle7926Injections don't heal anything. Get a repair surgery.1
u/RacacooonieFor me, my one and only shot kicked in about a month after I got it. I had improvements in pain and ROM that lasted me six months. In the first month of waiting for it to work I was not worse - just my baseline chronic pain and limitations. I would ask your ortho about other options or the need for a new MRI to evaluate for other causes of your symptoms. Conversely, could be time to find a new ortho! It took me five tries - five different orthos to find one that could actually identify the source of my pain and recommend the right treatment.1
