Even after borderline diabetes (with occasional drifts into the diabetic range) and being obese and having heart disease, my old insurance company denied GLPs (both Ozempic and Mounjaro) 5 times. I tried compounded solutions but didn’t see much benefit.
When I switched to Medicare, with the same insurance company providing prescription drug coverage, they approved it. I am starting my 3rd month.
I avoid the scale because I can obsess about that metric, but I can see the difference in my waist and chest and even my legs.
I have arthritis in both knees so walking for exercise has been a challenge, but I’ve taken 4 minutes off my average per mile walking pace in two months.
I used to have a very sweet tooth, and now I hardly crave sweets. The same with bad carbs (chips). Although I wasn’t much of a drinker, I can’t remember my last alcoholic drink.
I’m in it for the long run.

Congratulations
69 F 5’0 type 2 with other health issues. Been on mj since 3/24.
What an awesome accomplishment.
My Highest doses 10 mg but Now on 5 mg to keep from losing more weight.
I was able to reduce some meds and discontinue others.
Mj is a Godsend to most of us. I didn’t have to lose as much as you did but lost 50 lbs.
