Also, on a completely unrelated note, I can't help thinking about how the main trio would react to Jurassic Park. There have been multiple references to it in the story already, and with it being about bringing back extinct species and its message that trying to control nature is a bad idea, it seems like it would hammer home a lot of the points these biologists and an exterminator have been learning. You know, once they're acclimated and accustomed to seeing predators and depictions of violence.

The Tolim and Alejandro scene was such a roller coaster. Tolim speaking about his part in how the facilities functioned and Alejandro doing their best to comfort their boyfriend. It is still only the start of healing, as he still has to find closure for what they participated in as well as recognizing that pain was still caused and those people deserve to work through their trauma too.

I’m very much looking forwards to the conversation about unvarnished earth - I hope the doctor lets her have it with everything and it’s the whole next chair we going over everything. These conversations are often the highlights of a story when written well and I’m certain with such a high quality story it will be written well.

I hope they did not fuck up Cole too hard with the teeth. Although it would be really funny if they sharpened his teeth because "the predator will get mad if we don’t fix it."
Also I hope Cole does not compromise with his meat-eating habits. There's nothing wrong with eating meat and I hope he sticks to it and he doesn't become some "Prey" pleaser especially if Eva tries to make him stop. I hope Eva learns about human culture and the importance of food in the future and comes to accept Cole has who he is.
Maybe the dog will help with that... but idk 👀

Great chapter, I wonder how Cole almost killing that other guy with meat is gonna impact the main-NoP reveal. The one where it's revealed stuff like that allergy is the work of the federation.
Edit: I mean how it's gonna impact his and the others' reaction to it. Before it was as simple as "Ha! I knew none of this made any sense!" on Cole's end, but now it's "Okay I was still right but I almost killed someone because of it so... let's call it a draw." at best lmao.

God, it surprises me that Cole is still willing to help them even after being betrayed and despised by one of the xenos he trusted most, after practically receiving terrible medical treatment and having his "friends" on that planet fear or despise him for being human. Cole needs to release that frustration somehow.

He needs people who understand him and unfortunately, most aliens just don’t fit that. Cole had the right to be angry but they just won’t be able to see it like that because they’re too biased. Behtek is the only one Cole has that could be considered healthy to be around.

Jokes aside, this entire situation would make even the strongest person miserable. Even if Eva and Pini didn't leave him, knowing that you almost killed a person while doing, what you thought at the time, to be a harmless act of spite, would just be plain horrible.
I do hope the story further explores both sides trying to reconcile with their differences in regards to meat eating, instead of going the usual route of one side just folding, like it's often the case.

Wow even Ketchup covered for him. That means that if what he did gets out, it'll be entirely on whether he himself comes clean with it.
Frankly I hope Cole starts being more receptive to "prey sensibilities" instead of being so cavalier about it. Granted, we the readers know things he doesn't, but from his point of view he fucked up big time and if he continues being this way then anything that happens from now on is entirely based on wilful ignorance. This is his one mistake to reconsider his priorities.

It looks like there is a bit of a reckoning for Cole not respecting the population's culture. He knew how badly they would react to meat, but it took someone actually getting hurt for him to realize it isn't just a ridiculous belief he can ignore. You have to meet people where they are to get them to change. I think he is starting to realize that.
Hmmm I imagine this version of Minecraft is the UN censored version. Since zombies in Minecraft drop rotten flesh.
Anyways besides that everyone in this story is gonna have to go through something.
