You silly radiologist. Don’t you know how this works? The real doctors tell you what to do, and you do it - no questions.

"I want you to do something non evidence based because I can't! I will scream into the void until insurance stops paying for it"

Ahhhhhh. Yes. See, the problem is you forgot IR stands for " interventional...whatever procedure every other service doesn't feel like or can't do BUUUUT will only do the way the people not actually doing the procedure want it done regardless of whether it's actually in the patients best interest...radiology"
It's ok. It happens. My doctor forgot this last week when he though it was ok to tell a hospitalist he wasn't going to call the team in to place a pleurx... at 8pm.

That's really funny because the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons does not reccomend HA injections.

Imagine how he talks to regular staff this way if he speaks to a peer in this manner.

I mean what kind of sorry orthopod can't use office based ultrasound and inject even the fattest knee space.

I get Euflexxa injections every 6 months. Similar to orthovisc. They have been extremely helpful to me. Insurance covers it, but I’m getting it done in an office.

See, I have a hard time understanding exactly what IR is because of stuff like this. Everytime I hear of an "IR procedure" im like, "....when did IR start doing those??"

I wonder if it would work better by using it as a facial serum. Haha. Also, they can kindly go fuck off waaaay over there.

I understand his question. But fucking hell just explain what it is. And don’t be a cun—T.
The sticking is probably the hard part. I remember my arthro mri of the shoulder. The contrast run everywhere and basically made the exam loose its function. “Extended sequelae from difficult injection of the contrast medium”
How did you decide to go in to IR? It’s a pretty cool branch and a lot of minimal invasive treatments no?

Idk what’s a big deal injecting a knee! Seriously, I’m a radiologist I do arthrogram on a 350lbs plus patients all the time! You an IR this is your bread and butter why would you say you don’t know what that is. What’s the contraindication to inject an obese patient??? when your referrals start drop you will change your attitude!
