I’ll add that the retraction note doesn’t even cover some of the most serious initial issues, doesn’t address that the BMJ seemingly didn’t bother to check registration details on the trial register, and also during peer-review failed to send the paper back to the most critical reviewer. Baffling all round from a supposedly rigorous journal.neutral67

u/toughtacosFreakonomics Radio has a series about academic fraud that I really recommend listening to. It goes into depth about exactly this kind of thing. Very interesting listen.positive1
