I’m no expert, but the shaft skin isn’t exactly epidermis, it’s smooth muscle, which is why it takes so long to expand, so it uses a similar but critically different mechanism to expand

According to a google search it stimulates mitosis, so perhaps? It’s used in some facial skincare products. There’s a section about possible links to cancer, which is worth investigating what that’s about… ?
I’m so sorry, OP Firstly, obviously you didn’t deserve what happened to you in either instance of abuse, and it’s not your fault. I’m glad you were able to name it as abuse and recognise the harm your mother had and continues to attempt to inflict on you.

I was one of the minority circumcised as an infant in the late 80’s in Australia and always felt the reasons given were pretty pathetic and having seen how my ex boyfriends’ foreskins have worked truly understand what was taken from us with no recourse, so am glad rates of RIC are slowly declining, and am more than happy to sign if it means helping our American brothers out, and pushes rates down faster.
